Recurring Orders

The Recurring Sales Order process can be used when the same, or nearly the same, Sales Order is issued over and over again for items like maintenance contracts that include preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled interval. These preventative maintenance tasks at customer locations can be Sales Orders because it allows drivers/workers to use the Deacom DSD Application to manage on-truck inventory as well as allowing the customer to bill its customers for any additional work that comes up during the course of preventative maintenance by adding that work to the Sales Order invoice. There are two steps involved in using Recurring Sales Orders. First, the creation of the Recurring Sales Order. Second, the use of the recurring SO to create a new Sales Order that will be shipped and invoiced normally. These steps are covered in detail in the Using Recurring Sales Orders, OutBound Inventory, and Invoicing Sales Orders best practice pages. The Recurring Sales Order form is a mover form which lists all active Recurring Sales Orders that are available to copy. The list that populates may be filtered by Facility using the "Facility" button and selecting the desired record. The "Move", "Move All", "Remove All", and "Remove" buttons may be used to move the desired order(s) that should be copied to the right-hand side of the form. Once orders are chosen and "Apply" is clicked, one or more new Sales Orders are created, saved, and assigned their sequential order number. From this point, the new order(s) can be modified as needed, shipped, and invoiced. If multiple Recurring SOs are selected in the mover form, multiple new SOs will be created.
